Type Locality and Naming
Along the Kyzyltakyr village, North Turkmenistan. A. G. Blyskavka, G.A. Gabrielyants, M.A. Tkachuk, 1962 (113, p.15).
Synonym:
Lithology and Thickness
Upper part - calcareous marls, gray, reddish-brown limestones. Thickness up to 15 m. In the lower part, gray clayey limestones, reddish-brown marls. Thickness up to 17m. Total thickness up to 32m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Lies conformably on the Zeaglin Fm or with erosion on the Maastrichtian deposits
Upper contact
It is overlain by the Karashor Fm.
Regional extent
South Pre-Aral, East Ustyurt. It is correlated with the Bukhara Fm, Kazakhtaush Fm, Nurinsk Fm, and lower part of the Sugralin Fm of the Kyzylkum, Bukhara Depression.

Fossils
Upper part- Contains foraminifera of the Globorotalia subbotinae zone; nanoplankton of the NP-10 Marthasterites contortus zone. In the formation complex, ostracods - Cytherella mirusa Ros., Curfsina formosa Szezech., Nucleolina mangischlanensis transiotora Sak., Xestoleberis obtusangularis Sak.
In the lower part, contains foraminifera of the Acarinina tadjikistanensis djanensis Schutz., A. subsphaerica (Subb.), A. acarinata Subb. zone; nanoplankton of the NP-9 Discoaster multiradiatus zone.
